Zoho Books e-invoicing implementation for AED 499 + VAT.
Already on Zoho Books? Don't add another provider. We appoint Zoho as your ASP in EmaraTax, check your customer and item data, push a test invoice for every VAT scenario you use, train your team in a 30-minute live session, and sign you off live. One flat fee.
Zoho runs the network.
We make your data pass it.
Zoho, as your ASP, handles: XML conversion to PINT-AE, validation, transmission through the Peppol network, reporting to the FTA, and fetching supplier e-invoices into Bills.
Fastlane, as your Zoho partner and tax agent, handles: confirming your legal name, TRN, TIN and EmaraTax email match; guiding the EmaraTax ASP appointment to Linked; checking item and customer master data; classifying every transaction type (5%, zero-rated, out-of-scope, exempt, deemed supply, credit note); reading validation errors and fixing the cause; and training your staff.
Technical complexity is low: no API, no XML, no integration project. Compliance and data setup is where implementations fail, and that is what the AED 499 buys.
One-time Zoho Books e-invoicing implementation
Not a fee for switching a toggle on. The AED 499 + VAT takes one Zoho Books organisation from “e-invoicing available” to live, tested, evidenced, and understood by your team.
Setup & master data
- Zoho e-invoicing activation: legal name, TRN, 10-digit TIN, address and EmaraTax email verified to match
- EmaraTax ASP appointment: Zoho selected as ASP, applicant verified, Linked status screenshot on file
- Item master check: goods vs service, HSN/SAC from the FTA code list, unit of measure, VAT treatment
- Customer master check: legal name, TIN, buyer ID and authority, Peppol electronic address, tax treatment
- Peppol eligibility check on active B2B customers, with not-found cases flagged
Test, train & go-live
- Scenario mapping: only the invoice types you actually issue
- One pushed test document per scenario, UUID and timestamp recorded
- Validation error resolution: unit code, HSN/SAC, customer data, payment mode
- Credit-note correction process tested
- 30-minute live staff training: send, monitor, correct, and find supplier e-invoices in Bills
- Usage estimate, evidence folder and signed go-live checklist
Not included, and quoted in writing before we start: your Zoho Books subscription (Professional plan or above required ), Zoho's e-invoicing transaction packs, bulk clean-up of large customer or item lists, extra training time, and multi-entity or multi-branch setups (priced per organisation). Reverse-charge, import and designated-zone treatments are scoped on a call before we quote.
Six steps from Zoho login to signed go-live
A clean single-entity SME is live within days. The timeline is set by the state of your customer and item data, not by Zoho.
- PrepareCollect trade licence, VAT certificate, TRN, 10-digit e-Invoicing TIN and EmaraTax admin email. Confirm all four match before anything is entered.
- OnboardActivate e-invoicing in Zoho Books. Appoint Zoho as ASP in EmaraTax by screen-share. Confirm the status shows Linked, not Submitted.
- Master dataCheck items (goods/service, HSN/SAC code, unit of measure, VAT treatment) and B2B customers (legal name, TIN, buyer ID, Peppol electronic address). Run the Peppol eligibility check.
- TestPush one test document per VAT scenario you actually use: 5%, zero-rated export, out-of-scope, exempt, deemed supply, credit note, foreign currency. Record every UUID.
- Fix and correctRead each validation error, correct the master data, re-send and confirm Pushed.
- Train and go liveRun a 30-minute live training session for the people who raise invoices, estimate Zoho usage, file the evidence pack and issue a signed go-live checklist.
Do you actually need us?
The switch-on takes minutes. The reason implementations fail is customer data, and past five customers, that stops being a one-person job.
Do it yourself
- Five or fewer customers
- One entity, one VAT treatment, no exports
- Every customer's TIN and legal name already on file
- One person raises every invoice
Use the AED 499 implementation
- More than five customers: TINs, buyer IDs and Peppol addresses to collect and verify
- Exports, zero-rated or out-of-scope supplies to classify
- Goods and services: HSN and SAC codes to assign
- Credit notes issued in the normal course of business
- More than one person raising invoices, who all need training
Not on Zoho Books, or not sure it's the right fit? We implement on other software too, and we will not recommend a software change just because e-invoicing arrived. Message us for a free diagnosis and we'll tell you which route fits.
What Zoho Books e-invoicing costs in total
Our fee plus what you pay Zoho. Example: a Dubai trader on Zoho Books Professional issuing 150 sales invoices, 60 supplier bills and 10 credit notes a month.
| Cost item | Paid to | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Implementation, training & go-liveone-time, per organisation | Fastlane | AED 499 + VAT |
| Zoho Books Professional plan | Zoho | Existing subscription |
| Qualifying transactionsinvoices + bills + credit notes | — | 220 / month≈ 2,640 / year |
| First 100 transactions | Zoho | FREE |
| Packs for the balance~2,540 transactions | Zoho | Zoho pack pricing |
Count everything. Qualifying transactions are B2B/B2G outbound invoices plus vendor bills plus credit notes, never sales invoices alone. We estimate your usage as part of the implementation so you don't over-buy.
Bookkeeping clients on our accounting service from AED 499/month get monthly e-invoicing status monitoring included, with a target of zero unresolved failed e-invoices.
Your deadline
Applies across all free zones and the mainland equally, and regardless of VAT registration. Your phase depends on annual revenue, not licence type.
If you supply a Phase 1 business, your real deadline is January 2027, not July. From that date their systems expect structured invoices. Send a PDF and expect it queried, rejected, or left sitting while someone works out what to do with it.
Zoho Books e-invoicing: questions we get
How much does Zoho Books e-invoicing implementation cost?
AED 499 + VAT per Zoho Books organisation, one-time. It covers Zoho e-invoicing setup, EmaraTax ASP appointment, item and customer master-data check, PINT-AE test invoices with UUIDs, error fixing, a 30-minute live staff training session and go-live sign-off. Your Zoho Books subscription and Zoho's e-invoicing transaction packs are billed by Zoho directly.
Zoho already has UAE e-invoicing built in. Why pay Fastlane?
Zoho does the technical part: converting invoices to PINT-AE XML, validating them and transmitting them through the Peppol network. What decides whether an invoice pushes or fails is the part Zoho cannot do for you: legal data that matches EmaraTax, complete customer and item master data, correct VAT classification, and staff who know how to correct a failed invoice. That is the implementation.
Is Fastlane an authorized Zoho partner?
Yes. Fastlane is an Authorized Zoho Partner and an FTA-registered Tax Agent, so the same team configures Zoho Books and checks the VAT treatment behind every e-invoice. Your Zoho subscription stays in your own name and is billed by Zoho.
What does the 30-minute training cover?
A live session for the people who raise invoices in Zoho Books: pushing an e-invoice, reading its status, handling a validation error, correcting with a credit note instead of editing, and finding supplier e-invoices fetched into Bills.
Do I need Fastlane if I only have a few customers?
If you have five or fewer customers, one entity, one VAT treatment and clean Zoho data, follow Zoho's own guide and call us only if an invoice fails. With more than five customers, or any exports, zero-rated supplies, credit notes or more than one person raising invoices, the master-data work is where implementations fail without a tax professional.
Do I need another ASP if I'm on Zoho Books?
No. If you are already on Zoho Books, the simplest route is Zoho's own accredited connection, with Zoho appointed as your ASP in EmaraTax. We do not add a second provider on top.
I'm not sure Zoho Books is the right software for e-invoicing. Can you advise?
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp or through the enquiry form for a free diagnosis. We ask what software you use, your invoice volume, VAT status and connected systems, and recommend the route that fits. Besides Zoho Books, we implement Wafeq for AED 299 + VAT and Xero or Tally for AED 799 + VAT.
Which Zoho Books plan do we need?
Zoho requires the Professional plan or above for UAE e-invoicing. Zoho has stated that the first 100 qualifying transactions are free, after which transaction packs are bought from Zoho per organisation. We estimate your usage as part of the implementation.
What happens if a pushed invoice has a mistake?
Once an invoice is transmitted through Peppol, Zoho blocks edits as a compliance control. Corrections are made by credit note referencing the original invoice. We test at least one credit note before go-live and cover this rule in the training.
When does UAE e-invoicing become mandatory?
Revenue of AED 50 million or more: appoint an ASP by 30 October 2026 and go live on 1 January 2027. Below AED 50 million: appoint by 31 March 2027 and go live on 1 July 2027. Government entities go live on 1 October 2027. The voluntary pilot has been open since 1 July 2026.
