Let's answer some of the most common questions employers have around the talent hunt process.

1.  What are the steps after talent hunt day?

Fastlane’s Pathway Directors will be following up with matchmaking surveys to get feedback and the next steps. Our teams can be involved in as much or as little of your team’s hiring process as you’d like.

2.  I can’t make the full day; can I come for part of it?

Yes – We will happily accommodate your schedule. Alternatively, we can also set up another date for you to interview candidates.

3  This seems like a big process. Can’t you just send me some resumes?

While we believe that the talent hunt event is the best way to get the first look at the talent that is about to graduate, we can indeed send you the CVs that can help fill the position immediately.


4.  How much does it cost to participate?

Talent hunt is free to participate!

5.  Do I have to commit to hiring a student, even if I don’t find the right fit for our role or organization?

Not at all. Attending Talent hunt isn’t a commitment to hiring one of our students.

6.  How do I select the students I will meet with?

Based on the information you submit to our Pathway Directors, we’ll pair you with the students that best fit your needs for interviewing. From there, you will be able to filter down the candidates that you interview to those that fit your organization’s needs.

7.  Is this virtual or in-person?

Our Talenthunt events are held virtually over zoom.

8.  What if neither of the days available for Matchmaking work for our team?

That’s okay, we’ll work with you to find the best time to get interviews scheduled with our students and can even get you in touch with graduates from other cohorts.

9.  Do I have to do a Showcase to be allowed to participate in Talent Hunt day?

No, you don’t need to do an Employer Showcase to participate in Matchmaking, but it is a great way to introduce your company to current students.
